Sister Wives spoilers reveal that Kody Brown has made it very clear that he is pretty embarrassed that his wives are all starting to leave him. First, Christine Brown announced that she was leaving him after over 25 years of marriage. Now it looks like Janelle Brown is leaving him after 30 years of marriage! This has got to be a hit on his ego and he has started to unravel, as well as his other marriages.
Were His Marriages ‘Dysfunctional’
When it all started, fans were drawn to Kody and his wives. Their story was pretty captivating and they were interested to know how these marriages really worked and if they were solid. We saw Kody finally break during COVID though. He established a lot of rules for his family and this seemed to be what really started to unravel his marriages. Christine was really hurt by these rules as well as Janelle and her older sons.
It seems that Kody wasn’t shocked that his wives wanted to leave him. In fact, one source told fans, “He’s not that shocked. He admitted that their version of polygamy was dysfunctional.” This source also mentioned just how independent Janelle is and how it seemed pretty obvious that she would eventually leave the marriage. When it comes down to it, did his wives just outgrow him and the way that he tries to control them all?
Kody’s Struggles
When Kody talked more about his marriages and Christine leaving, he told the cameras, “I’m struggling so much with this divorce. It’s probably poisoning my relationship with Janelle a little bit and definitely poisoning my relationship with Robyn. I think that’s because I haven’t figured out what I am when we’re not this family. I’m out of my frame and I’m out of my purpose. I’m spiritually off course. I’m a mess.”
When it all comes down to it, Kody knows that he has made some pretty tough choices for himself and his family. By leaving him, Christine and Janelle have really shown that they have had enough of him trying to control them in every way. Kody feels very embarrassed by them leaving and this has made him feel less than a man. He knows that he has married some very independent women and it looks as if those two have left for good and washed their hands of him.
If one more of his wives leaves, just think how embarrassing that will be for Kody and what he will do next.
