When Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) claimed she was pregnant by Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), he immediately got a DNA test to confirm that.
It’s the reasonable thing to do when a dishonest schemer claims to be expecting your child.
Even if Esme indeed had Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) baby, it just seems like everyone connected to this story would want some proof.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is bending over backwards to accommodate Esme and show her kindness.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) struggled to understand how Laura could do that considering Esme’s history, but Laura feels obligated to look after her grandson and his mother.
Wouldn’t it be a great twist if Ace isn’t a Cassadine at all?
Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is so sure that Ace can be the Cassadine heir he needs, but what if he doesn’t even have Cassadine blood flowing through his veins?
After all this chaos on The Haunted Star, maybe we’ll ultimately find out there was no real reason for Ace’s inclusion.
If Esme lied about the paternity back when she was the “old Esme,” it’d be fitting for her to pay the price for that now.
Assuming Esme is genuinely still battling amnesia, then she’s just trusting what everyone else has told her – and everyone else is trusting the word of “old Esme.”
Without DNA test confirmation, the door is wide open for Ace to be the son of another mystery man.
Perhaps that’s what GH writers had in mind when they made such a glaring decision to skip a DNA test.
There’s still time for Ace’s paternity to change – and maybe the hints could start with Liesl Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) vaccine research.
It’d be interesting if Obrecht examined some blood samples and noticed something about Ace’s blood that would eventually lead to a paternity shocker.
