A Tearful Tracy Returns Home to Find a Christmas Disaster — in Her Opinion — Spearheaded by Olivia and Lois

Finn and Liz return to his place, and Violet rushes to show them their tree, which is not perfect, but just what she wanted. Finn says the tree is perfect for them, and Liz says they’ll make it look spectacular.

 

 

Liz and Violet go to the kitchen to make hot chocolate, and Gregory tells Finn he wants this to be a Christmas to remember. Liz and Violet bring out the cocoa, and there is a knock at the door. It’s Chase and Brook Lynn with some decorations.

Finn and Chase put the lights on the tree, and before turning them on, Brook Lynn tells Violet to make a wish before the lights come on and it will come true. Chase lights the tree and Violet calls it beautiful.

Before they continue with the decorating, Chase takes a moment to announce he and Brooke Lynn are getting married, and everyone is thrilled. Violet asks if Chase gave Brook Lynn a ring, and he says he did. Brook Lynn explains she kept it in her pocket to keep the surprise. Violet wants to see it, and she asks Chase to get down on one knee and put it on her. He does, and Violet asks when Finn will buy Aunt Liz a ring. Finn realizes what he’s in for.

Later, Violet sings a song as Chase plays the guitar.

TJ and Moily go to Kristina’s place. Before they go in, TJ asks if she’s sure she wants to do this and if they are sure they want Kristina to be their surrogate. Molly says they’ve faced setbacks over and over since learning she can’t carry a child, and she believes it was fate that she and Kristina ran into one another in that park. She is certain about this, so TJ says he is too.

TJ and Molly knock on Kristina’s door, and she invites them in. Kristina asks what brings them by. Molly asks her to be their surrogate, and they embrace.

They sit down, and Kristina asks what made them decide to do this. Molly says for the first time in her life she has to do the thing that scares her the most, accept that she’s not in control and ask for help. She also feels bad about asking for help from someone she treated unfairly. She treated her like a witch when she first offered to be their surrogate. Kristina admits she hadn’t thought it through back then, and Molly says that her reaction was more about the fact that it hurt that Kristina could carry a child and she can’t. Kristina believes they weren’t ready to go through this process back then, but now given what they’ve gone through, they are ready. Molly says she’s lucky to have her as her sister and her surrogate.

Kristina breaks out the ginger ale to toast with, and admits she ran out of champagne, which doesn’t last long in this house. She jokes she should indulge in caffeine and alcohol while she can. TJ knows they are asking her to give up a lot and appreciate her.

Kristina asks what is next, and Molly says they’ll talk to their specialist and get back to her about scheduling an appointment. Molly tells Kristina they’ll be grateful to her forever, and Kristina calls this a great honor. TJ and Molly head out and think they may get their miracle after all. Kristina meanwhile texts Blaze that she has big news.

Anna drops by Valentin’s. Charlotte is with Laura, and Valentin asks what he can do for her. She has an update and reveals the arsonist wasn’t Charlotte. He asks how she can be so sure, and she tells him about the DNA evidence found. Valentin beats himself up for not believing Charlotte when she said she didn’t do it, and why didn’t he have faith in his daughter? He asks who the arsonist is, but Anna can’t tell him. He wants answers, but she says this is on a need-to-know basis and he doesn’t need to know. He asks why not. She says she made it quite clear the last time they saw one another that she can’t trust him.

Anna reminds Valentin that he lied to her, and that resulted in Charlotte being shot. Valentin knows she was gunning for someone that night, and Charlotte got in the way. He is sorry he didn’t tell her the truth, and admits he was afraid she’d leave him if she knew. Anna says sadly they’ll never know as he didn’t give her a choice in the matter. She says now it’s too late for them, but it’s not too late for Charlotte. She advises he focus on his daughter and get her the help she needs. He vents that she is not in a position to give him advice on his daughter. Anna notes Charlotte stalked her for months and committed illegal activities. Valentin insists Victor exploited her, and she thought she was dangerous. Then when Victor released Anna’s file, Charlotte really believed she was dangerous and he needed protection. Valentin is appalled at what she did, but he’s proud of her determination and courage to protect him.

Anna points out Victor didn’t tell Charlotte to write “murderer” on her door, or leave a threatening message on her mirror, Charlotte came up with that on her own. Valentin admits that is true, and he imagines she learned how to stalk someone from the internet. Anna tells him to stop blaming Victor as Charlotte is responsible for her own actions and he needs to face it before she does something irrevocable. Anna feels Charlotte needs to know what she did was wrong. Valentine promises Charlotte will get counseling. Anna cries she hopes he gets through to Charlotte and makes her understand Victor wasn’t right about anything. Anna leaves in tears.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Lois and Olivia note not one inch of the house has been decorated for Christmas. Lois says Lila would be so disappointed, and tells Olivia how this house would be decorated on the first of December, and that an antique trainset of Alan’s would be brought out on Christmas Eve. She can’t believe Olivia hasn’t been on it and had the house decorated by now. Olivia recounts early in her marriage to Ned she clashed with Monica over the decorations, and she let Monica take the lead on the decorating from there on out. Lois says they can’t leave the house bare while waiting for Monica to return from her conference. Olivia and Lois decide to decorate the place.

Olivia and Lois go out to get a tree and garlands and later break out the boxes of decorations. Cody enters and asks where to put the tree and garlands.

They get to work on hanging the garlands on the banister, and Lois asks Cody why he calls Olivia Mama Q? He says because she is Dante’s mother, what else would he call her? Olivia tells Lois not to say “Zia.” He asks what a Zia is.

As they get to the tree, Olivia and Lois explain a Zia is a term of affection to someone who you aren’t related to, but who is like an auntie or grandma. However, it’s reserved for older people, there is a generational gap between the two. Lois asks Cody how he likes working for the Quartermaines, and he says it’s the first place that actually feels like home. They thank Cody for all his help, and for being patient with them.

Tracy is on a plane home and looks at photos of her wedding to Luke on her phone. She breaks down and puts on glasses and a hat to hide her sorrow. Later the plane gets ready to land, and she looks at her phone again and damns Luke Spencer and says she misses him.

Back at the mansion, Olivia and Lois praise the two rooms they decorated but still have to tackle the rest of the house. Suddenly Tracy bursts through the front door, looks around, and yells, “No, no, no! This will not do!”

On the next General Hospital: Tracy thinks she returned just in time. Curtis says he’ll never ask for anything again. Liz wonders to Finn if there is a lesson in there somewhere. Violet tells Brook Lynn she wants to sing at her wedding. Joss asks Dex, “How can you joke about this?” Nina stops Sonny, who wants to talk to Michael on her behalf.
