Ever since EastEnders teased the highly anticipated Christmas murder for the first time – back in Feb- fans have been waiting with bated breaths to find out who this mystery male on the floor of The Vic is. All through the years, many speculations came to the surface. Even the BBC One soap dropped hints and teasers by the dozen. But the mystery still remains intact! However, soap star Lacey Turner may have just dropped a major clue about the mystery man!
EastEnders star Lacey Turner (Stacey Slater) recently appeared on a special episode of the soap alongside the other 5 ladies. As we know, the mystery has The Six Walford matriarchs at the nether of it all. The six ladies participated in a chat with Joe Swash and discussed what role their characters are playing in the hyped storyline. During the chat, Joe asked Lacey if her character was ready to murder. He also brought up how Ravi and Nish are involved in Eve’s disappearance. And wondered if that could be enough reason for her to claim either of their lives.
But even before Lacey could answer, Joe wittily reminded everyone that Stacey had killed before! That too, right at the same place – The Vic, a few Christmas’ ago. Long-time viewers will remember that Stacey killed Archie Mitchell on Christmas Day back in 2009. Although, Lacey was quick to defend Stacey by claiming that what happened with Archie was an accident. And that she didn’t know about it. Joe then went on to ask her if she would be a double murderer soon. That too, yet again on Christmas!
Lacey laughed and said that no one can do the same crime twice by accident at the same place on the same occasion. However, Kellie Bright jumped in and said, “You can in EastEnders, babe.” The other ladies, too chimed in that anything can happen on EastEnders! Were they all hinting that it indeed is Stacey who kills a man this Christmas? However, it might not be an accident this time! Letitia (Sharon) did complicate the theory a little by adding that she would kill for the kids.
So, honestly, the jury is still out on this one! But we really have to give it to EastEnders for keeping the lid so tight on the secret. That, too, is so close to the final weeks!
