General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Befriends Cyrus – Dangerous Duo Spells Trouble for Ace?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) has been growing concerned about how isolated Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is. Esme doesn’t have any real friends or connections in town, so she’s stuck with the monotony of work and the exhaustion of parenting a rambunctious little boy.
Kevin clearly thinks it’s a bad idea for Esme to be so cut off from the rest of the world, especially when Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is out there living his best life with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and stirring up jealousy.
That could lead to Kevin and perhaps Laura Collins (Genie Francis) encouraging Esme to be a little more social.
Unfortunately, Esme could befriend the wrong person now that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is a free man.
Back in July on GH, Cyrus was eager to speak with Esme during her visit to Pentonville.
Heather Webber (Alley Mills) didn’t approve, but Cyrus pointed out that Laura was his beloved sister – and that made “sweet little Ace” his family, too.
Cyrus also tried to connect with Esme by suggesting they were in the same boat when it came to proving themselves.
No one believes Cyrus has changed any more than they believe Esme has changed, so Cyrus tried to act like they were kindred spirits on the same journey.
Esme was obviously a bit rattled by Cyrus, but that could change if he approaches her soon and manipulates her.
Since Esme feels lost and alone most days, it’d be easy for Cyrus to reel her in and form a strange friendship with her.
Of course, that’s the kind of thing that could put Ace in danger and cause tons of drama.
Laura definitely wouldn’t approve of Esme getting too close to Cyrus, so she would inevitably sound the alarm.
Spencer managed to bond with Cyrus a bit behind bars, but that doesn’t mean he wants his great-uncle anywhere near Ace.
It’s just too risky, so there could be major tension between Spencer and Esme if she befriends Cyrus.
Cyrus might hope that Esme can help him make progress when it comes to bonding with Laura, but he could also pull Esme back down a sinister road.
Although Cyrus puts on a changed man act, he’s still got an evil side that’s bound to wreak more havoc on Port Charles eventually.
