General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has a lot of catching up to do now that he’s back in Port Charles. So much has happened that Jason has no clue about – like the fact that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) met a grisly end.
When Jason first popped up in Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) house, he faced his first shocker.
Carly wished she could call her mom for help with what to do about Jason’s wound, but he insisted she shouldn’t call Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman).
That led to Carly admitting she couldn’t call Bobbie since she passed away.
Jason’s reaction was one of immediate surprise and heartbreak, especially since he could see how much this loss affected Carly.
Of course, Jason has been catching up on more pleasant news as well – like when he got updates on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) having a new daughter, Amelia Corinthos (Siobhan).
It’s good that the show’s playing these beats along the way and making Jason realize just how much he’s missed.
However, Jason hasn’t heard about Britt suffering a grim fate at the hands of “The Hook” yet.
Jason did mention Britt when he gave Michael a vague version of what went down in Greece.
Since Jason was unable to get back to Britt and the others, he had to find a different route out of the collapsed tunnel and ended up on the beach.
That kicked off plenty of trouble for Jason since he was taken prisoner and flown to Quantico, where John Cates (Adam Harrington) blackmailed him into accepting a mercenary mission.
There’s a lot going on for Jason now that he’s injured and on the run, so he hasn’t had a chance to ask too many questions about the people he left behind.
Nevertheless, you can bet that the topic of Britt’s death is going to come up at some point and get an emotional reaction from Jason.
It’d be fitting if Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) were eventually the one to fill Jason in since Britt was her hero against “The Hook” that night.
Unfortunately, Britt got scratched and couldn’t survive the poison, but the upside is that she didn’t face a difficult, drawn-out death by Huntington’s disease.
It seems like if Britt had been able to choose her fate, she still would’ve gone out the way she did.
Even so, Jason’s heart will break for Britt once he finds out Heather Webber (Alley Mills) took her down.
It’ll no doubt leave Jason reflecting on memories and thinking about what might’ve been.
