General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) was an emotional wreck when she showed up at Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) grave, where she put Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) on full blast for unleashing Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) on the world.
Heather blamed Kevin for thinking he could save Ryan and for letting his maniac brother lead Esme down the path that ended with her demise.
Now Heather’s main concern is Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), so Kevin assured her that her grandson would be taken care of.
However, Heather made it clear that she didn’t trust Kevin and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to get the job done.
Since Heather admires Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) for saving Esme from a grim fate in captivity and for coming forward with the truth, she asked her for a favor.
Heather begged Elizabeth to look out for Ace, so maybe this could be a hint about what’s to come for Liz in the months ahead.
Elizabeth and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) are currently involved in a lackluster romance that plenty of GH fans are rooting against.
With the new head writers’ work on the horizon, maybe Finn and Liz’s relationship will indeed come to an end.
That could free Elizabeth up for other stories and pairing possibilities. It’s easy to imagine Liz growing closer to Nikolas again and maybe even helping him raise Ace.
In other words, Heather may have just picked Ace’s new mom by requesting that Liz watch over him.
Nikolas and Elizabeth have a complex history, which could make any romantic reunion between them interesting and satisfying.
Some viewers might object to Liz getting a story where she’s a fill-in mom for Ace, but it would honestly make sense for her character since she’s so maternal and loving.
Nikolas doesn’t want to make the same mistakes with Ace that he made with Spencer, so he could probably use someone like Elizabeth to keep him on track.
Ace could provide an easy way for Nikolas and Liz to bond, especially if Ace winds up having a health issue somewhere along the way. Nurse Baldwin could reassure Nikolas and offer a motherly touch as well.
Did Heather basically hint about a new family that’s destined to form? Will Liz watch out for Ace and fall for Nikolas again in the process?
