General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny, Dante, And Anna Lay A Trap — Will Valentin Fall For It?

General Hospital Spoilers tease Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is no stranger to corruption and deceit, but let’s be honest — none of us saw him betraying Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

It was pretty clear from the beginning that Valentin wasn’t likely doing any favors for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) by getting him set up with Pikeman, a federal defense contractor looking to move weapons through his territory.

But lying to Anna and targeting her personally is a whole other story. Could it be that Pikeman is targeting Anna as a result of Valentin’s failure to comply with their orders?

Might someone have him over a barrel and be forcing him to abide by terms he’s not truly comfortable with? When Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) proposes they attempt to catch Valentin in his lies, will Anna and Sonny come along for the ride? Will Valentin walk right into their trap?

General Hospital Spoilers — Dante Falconeri Has A Theory
Dante was delicate with Anna when relaying his concerns about Valentin. Why is the guy being so shady, and why wasn’t he honest with Anna about where he was when her house burned down?

Dante’s implication that Valentin may have had something to do with that ashy pile of rubble that was once Anna’s left ignited a fire in her belly.

She’s determined to get to the bottom of this, even if it means having to face the fact that Valentin betrayed her in the process.

When Dante offered up a theory that Valentin may have been forced to comply with Pikeman against his will because they were threatening Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), it made sense to Anna as it calmed her fears that Valentin was acting out of pure malice. Will the truth confirm that he is deserving of her grace?

General Hospital Updates – Anna Devane Prays It’s Not True
Anna was quick to clap back when Dante implied that Valentin’s lies may have more to do with something malicious on his part than him just making an oversight or thinking it was unnecessary to share his involvement with Pikeman with Anna.

After all, it’s not as though he knew they were even on her radar. Furthermore, as soon as she put him on the spot and asked him about Pikeman, he copped to being entangled with them to some degree.

It would seem that Valentin is riding the fence on how much he wants to reveal. In addition, he’s aware that Anna is suspicious of him, even if Dante’s suspicions went over Valentin’s head.

General Hospital Spoilers — Can Anyone Save Valentin Cassadine?
Anna may be worried that she could have to face having to choose between Sonny and Valentin — or even herself and Valentin. Of course, it may be that Valentin is struggling with the same dichotomy at the hands of Pikeman.

If Valentin is in over his head with Pikeman, will Anna, Sonny, and Dante be able to help him out of it while keeping his little girl safe? Will he even trust them enough to let them in?

It may not come to that, though some fans are lamenting things are starting to feel a bit too similar to when Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) took Charlotte and held her hostage in a Swiss boarding school.
