General Hospital Spoilers: Spencer’s Kidnapper Revealed – Who’s Holding Trina’s True Love Hostage?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the mystery of Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) disappearance will unravel. Drugged Spencer fell into the Seine and was never found, so it’s believed that he washed into the English Channel along with Esme Prince (Avery Pohl).
Of course, we know Spencer survived since Chavez will return to the role several months down the line.
Fans already got a little clue about that when Spencer’s turtledove washed ashore and hinted that Spencer must’ve made it, too.
That still leaves viewers with questions about Spencer’s fate, so let’s look at the facts here.
Spencer would definitely reunite with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) if he could, so we’re dealing with circumstances that are beyond his control.
Esme was presumed deceased as well, but it’s possible she’s still alive and out there somewhere.
However, Esme probably isn’t holding Spencer hostage since she’d be contacting Laura Collins (Genie Francis) to use him as leverage if she was.
We can’t forget that was Esme’s plan to get Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) back, so there’s no reason to think Esme wouldn’t use Spencer to her full advantage if she had him.
Naturally, we can’t rule out the possibility that Spencer has amnesia and doesn’t know where to go.
There’s a chance Spencer could get his own version of a “Mike” in Nixon Falls story, but the whole amnesia thing has been pretty overdone on GH lately.
With that in mind, maybe we should consider other options when it comes to Spencer’s time off canvas.
If Spencer still had his memories intact when he was rescued, where is he now and why isn’t he coming home to Trina? Perhaps it’s because there’s someone standing in his way!
Although Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) seemingly perished in Greenland, we’re not sure we buy his demise.
After all, Victor was a pro at fooling people using realistic masks and could’ve put a Victor mask on another body. Victor also could’ve paid off some loyal WSB people as part of his plan to fake his grim fate.
In that case, Victor might’ve been keeping tabs on Spencer and ordered his team to follow him to Paris. What if Victor had Spencer rescued, gave him a place to recover and is now holding him hostage?
Victor might think Spencer is still worthy of carrying on the twisted Cassadine family legacy – but only if he can get Trina out of his system!
Trina changed Spencer’s heart for the better, but Victor may want to undo that and send him down a far worse path.
We certainly wouldn’t put it past Victor to use some sort of anti-love potion or get rid of Spencer’s feelings for Trina through brainwashing or hypnosis.
This is the same guy who wanted to wipe out most of the population with a lethal pathogen, so anything is possible with Victor.
Regardless, Victor might be Spencer’s kidnapper since he’d be someone who’d want to save Spencer AND someone who wouldn’t tell the rest of his loved ones about it – at least not until his full plan is complete.
