General Hospital Spoilers: Will Jason’s Amnesia Complicate PC Reunions – New Memory Loss Issues?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that before we can consider Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) return, we have to consider his exit. Since we know Jason is on his way back to the ABC soap, that obviously means he survived the cave-in that left him presumed deceased.
In other words, Jason survived something that was previously thought to be impossible. As a result, Jason may have had some very serious injuries – including ones to his brain.
Of course, it’s very possible that Jason is being held captive by a villain somewhere by now.
However, it’s also possible that Jason doesn’t know his identity or where home is if he’s suffering from amnesia.
Now that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) is done believing he’s “Eddie Maine” and Esme Prince’s (Avery Pohl) memories have returned, could GH writers have a different character in mind for an amnesia arc – namely Jason?
It wouldn’t be the first time the show’s gone down that road. When Drew Cain (now played by Cameron Mathison) first showed back up and was believed to be Jason in the original Billy Miller recast story, that involved amnesia as well.
Although “Jason” was eventually revealed as Drew and built his own life, that was still a Jason Morgan storyline in the beginning.
Going further back in the real Jason’s history, he’s already missing memories of when he was Jason Quartermaine. It might be interesting if a new amnesia plot eventually led to Jason getting ALL of his memories back.
Regardless, the show’s proven that they love the drama that amnesia brings, so maybe that’ll once again become a complication.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was believed to be gone forever while he was busy at the bar in Nixon Falls.
Could Jason get his own version of that storyline? Is Jason off living somewhere without realizing he belongs back in Port Charles?
It all depends on how Jason survived the cave-in and who ended up watching over him as he recovered, so stick with us for updates as more news surfaces on his comeback.
