There are no storages of Hollywood stars releasing memoirs these days and one in particular caught the eye of General Hospital’s Kin Shriner (Scott). His former castmate, John Stamos, who played Blackie from 1982 to 1992, published his book If You Would Have Told Me: A Memoir on October 24 of this year, and as one would expect, touched base on his career in daytime.

Shriner posted a video on social media while holding the memoir that he had gotten for Christmas and let everyone know that Stamos had sent him the audiobook prior to that. And though he had listened to it, he shared, “Now that I’m reading it, it’s… especially the chapter on General Hospital and the part about me. It reads really well. Thank you, John.”

If you haven’t had the chance to read it yet, Stamos recalled a memory involving Shriner — and how he stayed at the veteran actor’s bachelor pad on occasion after working late and not wanting to drive home all the way back to Orange County. And what fun would it have been if they stayed home when there was so much to do in Los Angeles? Though Stamos was underage, Shriner knew a place that he could get in — Chippendales, of course.

Shriner assured him that after the male stage acts, it turned into a full-fledged nightclub. And after they had been let in via the back door, Stamos knew exactly why Shriner suggested they go there — they had been the only guys in the place, in a “lion’s den,” among “hopped-up housewives,” who were “looking to sink their teeth into something juicy.”

And if that piqued your interest and you want to know more about what happened while Stamos was a teen idol on a soap opera, be sure to check out his memoir and order a copy for yourself, or the General Hospital fan in your life.
