General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is on the verge of making his first appearance back on the show. March 4 will kick off Jason’s long-awaited return stint – and now there’s confirmation that it’ll be a very “Stone Cold” comeback!

People released an exclusive first glimpse that proves Burton’s character has taken an extremely sinister turn.

In a new pic, Jason has a downright disturbing expression that’s devoid of any concern for the former friend that he’s been plotting against.

There have already been some on-screen hints about Jason being the gunman who went after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), especially since the shooter knew Sonny’s whole system on the island.

That’s when Sonny knew for sure he was dealing with a traitor, but he certainly never expected Jason would be alive and out to get him!

Of course, there has to be more to the story since the Jason Morgan that we all remember would never want to harm Sonny intentionally.

It certainly seems like Jason has been brainwashed into going after Sonny somehow, so that adds an interesting layer to all this.

That first photo proves Burton’s GH return is coming with an alarming twist since Jason is dressed in all black with “Stone Cold” eyes and a bloody hand.

Jason’s other hand is gloved as he crouches down behind a dumpster looking super intimidating.

There’ll be plenty of danger once Steve Burton slips back into the role of Jason and brings a more threatening vibe this time around.

Other mob bosses have been targeted along with Sonny, so Jason is apparently tangled up in an elaborate plot against organized crime.

Sonny is in the process of setting a trap to catch the elusive mystery man who’s tried to take him out on more than one occasion.

That trap should set the stage for this big Jason reveal and all the drama of Steve Burton’s new run.
