OutDaughtered fans always want an update on Hazel Busby’s eyes. Remember, she was still a tiny child when she wore her first eyeglasses. Soon, she and her sisters will turn nine and TLC fans just got an update on the third-born quint’s eye condition.
Hazel Busby Is Adored BY TLC Fans
From the very beginning of the OutDaughtered show, TLC fans have appreciated Hazel. Firstly, she was the only redhead, making her easy to identify. Secondly, she was the smallest of the babies. And third, she was born with an eye condition called nystagmus, which makes it hard for her to see properly. Additionally, she has astigmatism, which also distorts her vision.
Hazel Busby visited the eye doctor many times in her young life, and often, TLC fans saw it on the OutDaughtered show. In 2021, possibly because of the coronavirus pandemic, it wasn’t filmed. However, her dad, Adam Busby, shared that his daughter’s eyes didn’t require any further surgery, and her eyes were not getting worse. Three years on, how is she doing? Read on to find out.
OutDaughtered Update On The Cute Kid
At the end of last week, Danielle Busby and Adam shared a joint update on Instagram about their daughter’s vision. In the post, a photo revealed their adorable child smiling for the camera. And, it was for a good reason. She had her eye appointment and was about to indulge in some sweet treats at the Donut Distillery.
In the caption, it was all good news for the TLC starlet.

checkup today! And my beautiful blue eyed red head’s eyes are doing amazing still! She is still seeing 20/40 and her astigmatism has even improved a bit. No real change in any head tilt either!!

If you don’t know, 20/40 vision means that Hazel Busby “can only see objects from 20 feet that someone with 20/20 vision can see from 40 feet,” per LMC Optometry.
