General Hospital Recap: Tuesday, November 14 – Carly Scared for Sonny Without Jason - Finn & GH Sued for Malpractice

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 14, reveals that Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) summoned Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) for a serious conversation since he was being sued for malpractice along with GH.

Finn could keep practicing medicine, but he’d need to get a second opinion if he was dealing with a potentially fatal case and would have to submit to weekly drug testing due to his history.

Finn was also instructed to get an attorney right away, so he gave Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) updates soon after.

Although Finn seemingly did everything right with a patient who was treated for a tapeworm and later presented cancer signs too late to treat, he worried the truth might not matter.

Liz assured Finn that she’d back him up since he never indicated that he made any mistakes with this patient, whose widow was the one behind the lawsuit.

Elizabeth suggested she’d help Finn go over his notes tonight, but he wanted to wait until tomorrow since he needed a day to process everything.

At Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) quizzed him about why Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) was offering to sell back Carly’s half of the Metro Court.

This was the first Sonny was hearing about the news, but he thought maybe it was as simple as Nina wanting to spend more time with her grandchildren.

Carly argued that it was never that simple with Nina, so she vowed to find out what was really going on.

As for whether Carly wanted to accept the offer, she was unsure since she didn’t want to abandon Kelly’s. Sonny tried to help Carly with funds, but Carly warned him not to even offer.

After more speculation about Nina’s motives, Carly warned Sonny to watch his back since Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was free and her ex didn’t have Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) watching out for him.

Sonny insisted he had eyes all over town, including Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Brick (Stephen A. Smith).

Once Sonny urged Carly to think hard about taking Nina’s offer, Carly said she would and told Sonny to watch his back as she left.

At Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) place, he defended Nina’s presence to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and let her be included in the conversation about Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

There was talk about Charlotte thinking Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) fired at her on purpose before Laura spoke about how Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) influenced her at boarding school.

Valentin searched Charlotte’s room and came back with the letter along with the tarot cards that Victor gave her.

After Laura read the letter aloud, she realized along with Valentin and Nina how Victor had weaponized Charlotte against Anna.

Nina said they had to talk to Charlotte and tell her that nothing Victor said was true, but Laura pointed out that was tricky.

In Charlotte’s mind, Anna proved she was dangerous by pulling the trigger on her – and now Charlotte wanted Anna arrested!

At The Invader, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) tried to convince Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) not to move out with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), but she felt they needed to get away from Spencer.

Spencer argued that he didn’t have to be in a romantic relationship to make a commitment to Esme and Ace, but Esme sarcastically suggested they could all get a house with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

After Esme said she deserved someone to spend her life with too, she made it clear that she’d do what’s right for her as well as Ace and stormed out.

Once Spencer was alone, he dialed his phone and left a voicemail about things going from bad to worse.

At the gallery, Trina told Ava Jerome (Maura West) about Spencer’s recent ultimatum and how she walked out on him.

Ava believed happy endings were possible and pointed out that Trina was just at the beginning with Spencer.

After Ava pushed Trina to keep cool and speak honestly just as she’d done with Ava, Trina seemed willing to get back in touch with Spencer and talk.

In Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) office, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) mentioned the security footage and sworn affidavits he had regarding Austin treating Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) criminal friends off the record.

Dante grilled Austin about Ava and suggested he could’ve been behind her kidnapping, but Austin insisted he saved her.

Austin tried to cover by claiming he meant the night he was attacked by “The Hook,” but Dante remained suspicious of his relationship with Ava.

Dante warned Austin to come up with the name of Mason’s boss since it might give Austin a chance to save himself.

In Mason’s room at GH, Cyrus convinced the guard to let him in and told Mason he was there to show him a path to redemption.

Mason needed to confess his sins and make it clear to the police that he acted alone – or else he’d face the grim fate that he’d been warned about.

Although Mason wanted to make Austin out to be the mastermind of this scheme, Cyrus needed to be able to rely on the doctor’s help – and that meant Mason had to go down on his own.

Cyrus acted like Mason would have a good life and be protected at Pentonville, where he might be up for release sooner than he thought.

As Cyrus left Mason’s room, Austin opened a note that had been left for him at the nurses’ desk.

It warned Austin not to be foolish since that could be deadly, so Austin locked eyes with Cyrus and glared at him as he left.

General Hospital spoilers say Austin will have a lot more trouble to contend with, so stay tuned!
