General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny & Cyrus’ Church Showdown – Major Faceoff After Nina’s Secret Exposed
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will have a lot to process after Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) pushes Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to come clean. Michael will return from the pier and land in a tight spot when Lois warns him to fess up to his father!
Based on Michael’s expression, Sonny will realize Lois is right about his family lying to him. It’ll leave Sonny determined to get the truth, so Michael won’t be able to keep Nina Corinthos’ (Cynthia Watros) secret any longer.
Michael will confess that he learned the rat’s identity through an SEC contact, but the timing couldn’t have been worse.
GH fans will recall that Michael was at Sonny and Nina’s wedding reception when he realized she snitched on Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Michael will admit he didn’t want to destroy Sonny’s wedded bliss and ruin Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) happiness over bonding with her biological mother.
That’s why Michael kept his mouth shut, but Sonny will quickly realize Michael’s silence came at a price.
As angry as Sonny will be over Nina’s deception, she’s still his wife. The fact that Michael blackmailed Nina and restricted her access to Willow and the grandkids could leave Sonny furious.
Sonny may also realize Michael pressured Nina to give up her half of the Metro Court, so he’ll feel like so much has been orchestrated behind his back.
After Sonny blows his top over all the secrets that’ve been kept from him, he’ll need to do some soul-searching at the church. That’s where Sonny will have a run-in with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), so even more drama will erupt.
Cyrus may assume Sonny’s there because Nina confessed to him – just like he told her to when he came to her office at Crimson. Perhaps Cyrus will allude to his time in the confessional with Nina and hope that Nina’s indeed set herself free.
Sonny will be all riled up anyway, but Cyrus’ button-pushing could really send him over the edge. Cyrus may take great pleasure in pointing out that he knew Nina’s secret before her own husband.
It’s easy to imagine Sonny making a fist and whacking Cyrus in the face by the end of all this! Sonny will need to release all the rage that’s building up, so Cyrus could get decked as a result.
